These Web Guy in Florida pages record a middle-aged Californian observer’s impressions from an extended visit to South Florida’s Gold Coast — Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties — in early 1998 (hence the anachronisms, such as surprise at widespread use of mobile phones). Nothing here [except the image above] is intentionally fabricated, but of course your experience of present-day South Florida may differ from mine in 1998.
